  9.    Hi there!  My name is Jerry, and welcome to my software.  I sincerely
  10. hope you will enjoy using GRABBER as much as I enjoy creating it, and that
  11. you will register your use if you find the program meets your needs.

  13.    If you are passing this release of GRABBER along to a friend, or if you
  14. are posting it on an electronic bulletin board, I have a couple of special
  15. requests.

  17.    First, if you are uploading this release of GRABBER to a bulletin board,
  18. please use the upload filename "GRABB387.ZIP" or "GRABB387.ARC", as the case
  19. may be.  The "387" in the filename reflects the version number of this
  20. release of the program.  If everyone sticks to this convention, it makes it
  21. easier for everybody on the BBS's to identify a later version from an earlier
  22. one, just by looking at the filename.

  24.    Second, please make sure that the GRABBER package you share via bulletin
  25. board or diskette contains all of the following 18 files, which together
  26. constitute the "official" Version 3.87 release:

  34.      *  CHKVBE.EXE         (VESA BIOS compatibility test for VGA systems)
  35.      *  GRHOTKEY.EXE       (lets you modify your GRABBER hotkey combination)
  36.      *  GR2PCX.COM         (converts captured graphic images to .PCX format)
  37.      *  GR2GIF.COM         (converts captured graphic images to .GIF format)
  38.      *  GR2PIC.COM         (converts captured graphic images to .PIC format)
  39.      *  CONVERT.DOC        (documentation for the PCX/GIF/PIC utilities)

  41.      *  DEMO.BAT           (demonstrates the command-line options of GRABBER's
  42.                               "offspring" image program files)
  43.      *  DEMO0.EXE          (demonstration image for use with DEMO.BAT)
